Music notes carry different wave-lengths and vibrations that can resonate with different parts of our bodies and emotions that goes beyond talk-therapy. Sometimes music and song can help navigate us through some of the most difficult times of our lives; it can help express when words-alone are not sufficient enough. Music can also be a healing balm and a comfort to our wounds. The wisdom in song can guide a person into an epiphany and/or a sense of enlightenment. Sometimes a person needs the right song at the right moment to bring closure in life as well. Music can also bond relationships closer and deeper to each other.
As a piano player, singer, and song-writer, I have a passion in incorporating music into therapy sessions. I've taken piano lessons for 16 years, and have been singing in school choir since grade 4 all the way through college. In college, I was able to join the elite college choir and traveled around the world with them. As a result to my study in college, I've earned a minor in music. I've also been in worship bands through church and youth camp for over 7 years. As a psychotherapist, I find music to be a complementary pairing when incorporating into one's healing and self-growth.
Upon request, I am happy to incorporate music into your therapy sessions. Let's discuss further how music therapy can be a benefit into your well-being.
Do you have a larger event coming up and would like for me to be the guest speaker and/or music-artist? Contact me to discuss how I can be involved in adding an eye-opening richness to your event. Many people who have invited me say that I have a unique ability to read the energy in the room and respond in such a way that essentially everyone involved feels emotionally touched and rejuvenated.
If you are a Christian church, congregation, or organization that is interested in incorporating Christian Worship with Music Therapy, I have a unique set of abilities and expertise to provide such an experience. In my several years of experience as a worship leader and director, I've even created daily devotionals, curriculum, worship themes and sessions. I also helped facilitate worship events, and trained worship teams and counselors. I can be invited as a guest speaker and artist to your church service and/or event. I can also help consult and train your worship team on how to be more attune and holistic in their ministry, personal spiritual growth, teamwork, and daily practice.
Sometimes you are a person or you have a family member who resonates better when music is provided live and in-person at home. Contact me about making a special request into meeting with you and/or your family in the privacy of your home.
